HubSpot Education Partner Program

How can I get access to HubSpot Marketing software for my course?

Here are the steps to request and obtain academic access to the HubSpot software for your course.

Please follow these steps to request access to the HubSpot Marketing Software. You don't need to know exactly how you'll use the software. This will, however, give you the opportunity to explore the software, what it can do, and how you might be able to integrate it into your course.

If you are looking to use the HubSpot CRM (sales software) click here.

NOTE: If you already have a HubSpot account, you do not need to create a new one. You should follow the instructions here to add the marketing software to your existing account.

1. Review the Education Partner Agreement to understand acceptable academic use of the HubSpot software.

The most important thing is that you cannot be running a business for profit out of your portal. It is for academic use in the classroom only. If you have questions, please comment on this page or email imoche@hubspot.com.

Please read the the entire Education Partner Agreement and understand the appropriate use of your academic portal. The MOST relevant part below, but it is not the entirety of the agreement:

"If we make an Academic Portal available to you, then you will use the Academic Portal solely in an educational environment, like a classroom setting, where the main purpose is to benefit the student, and you are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.  You are permitted to allow End Users to use the Academic Portal and you remain fully liable and responsible for all use and misuse of the Academic Portal by End Users. You will not lease, distribute, license, sell or otherwise commercially exploit the Academic Portal. The Customer Terms of Service apply to your use of the Academic Portal and it will be considered “Free Services” under the Customer Terms of Service.  As indicated in the Customer Terms of Service, you will comply with our Acceptable Use Policy at http://legal.hubspot.com/acceptable-use with respect to your use of the Academic Portal.  We reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue any or all part of the Academic Portal at any time without prior notice to you, and we may not give you the opportunity to retrieve your or your End User’s data.  In the event of a conflict between the terms that apply to the Academic Portal as specified in this Agreement and the Customer Terms of Service, the terms of this Agreement shall control."

Also, be sure to note that email is turned off in these trials. You will not be able to send marketing emails. Please contact imoche@hubspot.com if you have questions about this.

2. Sign up for a 30 Day HubSpot Marketing Trial

The link to do that is here. Don't worry, we'll extend the length of access for the duration of your course.

NOTE: If you already have a HubSpot account, you do not need to create a new one. You should follow the instructions here to add the marketing software to your existing account.

3. Find your HubSpot ID #:

Once you have signed up for a trial, you need to find your HubSpot ID#, the 6 or 7 digit number that is visible in your URL and also in the top-right of your portal.

4. Fill out the Marketing Software Access form.
